Open Place is a photographic series taken at the old factory “Alte Saline”, Hallein, Austria.
It was developed during the art event organised by the “Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst Salzburg” in 2012.
Conceptually it deals with the idea of constructing imaginary places with real references and to present them to the viewers as an invitation for creating other places and remembrances.
First the photographs and the video were exposed inside the factory and later was brought to the major event of Bienal 1 housed in the old fabric factory “Galpão CentoeQuatro” in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Technique: Analogue photography printed digitally on fine art paper.
Format: 1,70 X 1m
