Archive 0 is a sculptural installation made with old wooden boxes. The idea of the infinite archive that we imagine to be a potency of memory is an utopia. Memory is not only able to remember, but also to forget and to create new remembrances.
For this reason, this work of art proposes an empty archive, which can be fulfilled only by the viewer’s imagination.
Arquivo 0 acquired a prize at the XIX Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira, PT and is now part of the Fundação Bienal de Cerveira’s collection.
